Presentation Guidelines
Guidelines for platform presentations
- The duration of your talk is scheduled to be 20 minutes including 5 minutes of discussion. The Session Chairs are instructed to require all speakers to adhere to this limit. A general rule for the amount of slides to be presented is one per minute available presentation time.
- Please bring your talk on a USB stick and have your presentation uploaded by 16:00 the day before your presentation.
- Please note that following equipment is provided:
- Computer with Windows 7, MS Office with PPT or PPTX software, beamers and sound.
Guidelines for poster presentations
- All posters will be located in the poster area.
- You can find your poster code online on the conference website and in the program distributed through the conference bags. The 2 letters in your poster code represent the session your poster should be displayed; the number is the number of the poster board. E.g. PA02 should be displayed in the area of session A on poster board 02.
- Posters have to be put up by the presenters on Monday between 8:00 and 9:00 and taken down on Wednesday between 16:00 and 17:00.
- Poster Sessions cover all topics (A-F) during the conference.
- Posters can be fixed to boards using adhesive tape. Please do not use pins, velcro or blu-tack. Tape will be provided in the poster area and student volunteers are in your vicinity for any assistance, if needed.
- Please note that the Poster orientation should be portrait, NOT landscape. Poster size should be A0 (841 mm x 1189 mm).
- A recommendable minimum font size for all text is 18 pt.
- Provide an envelope where people can leave their business cards for requests for more information. If possible, also provide hand-outs of your poster and your own business card.
- Be at your poster during the breaks and during the poster session / social to discuss your work with scientists visiting your poster.
- Leave a note listing other times you will be at your poster.
